László Kerekes was a painter, performer and photographer. He studied art conservation at the University of Belgrade and the University of Novi Sad (1972–1976). Member of the Bosch+Bosch avantgarde art group in Subotica, and 1984/1985 art director of the magazine »Új Symposion«, a magazine for art and culture in Novi Sad. Since 1988 he lived as international artist in Berlin, Germany. He participated in numerous exhibitions and publications. 1997 Art/Omi New York. 1999 Goethe Institute Budapest. 2001 scholarship from the Kunstfonds/Bonn. Participation in the 49th Venice Biennale. In 2005 invented the digital pinhole camera. Died in 2011.
